Person and Emotion Centred Therapy

My work is grounded in an organism-centred approach, which understands emotional distress as something that lives in the body as well as the mind. I help people explore the underlying emotional and physiological experiences that shape how they feel, relate, and respond to the world.

When emotional experiences cannot be fully processed — such as grief, anger, fear, or reaching for connection — they can remain unresolved in the system. Over time, this can influence patterns of reaction, relationships, and sense of self. Therapy offers a space where these experiences can be safely contacted, understood, and gradually resolved.

In sessions, we pay attention to what is happening in the present moment — including emotional responses, body sensations, and impulses. This helps bring awareness to patterns that may previously have been automatic, overwhelming, or unconscious. With support, these experiences can move toward resolution, allowing greater flexibility, stability, and choice.

A central part of my work is providing a steady, respectful environment where clients can feel received without judgment or pressure. From this foundation, people often find they can access emotions and parts of themselves that were previously difficult to reach.

I work in a way that is collaborative and responsive to each person. Therapy is guided by your pace, your needs, and your process.

My aim is to support people in developing greater emotional clarity, resilience, and capacity for authentic contact — both with themselves and others.
